Postdoctoral Researcher (Mental Health Focus)

Job Responsibilities

  1. Prepare proposals, project reports, and research outputs related to mental health and sustainable development initiatives.

  2. Collect and analyze data and information related to mental health, campus psychological support systems, and higher education policy as a foundation for project planning and strategic development.

  3. Assist in the design and implementation of mental health intervention programs, evaluation tools, and dissemination materials to ensure professional quality and meaningful impact.

  4. Coordinate across university units and integrate information linking mental health, education, societal impact, and sustainability strategies to develop persuasive proposals.

  5. Perform other duties related to the application, management, and outcomes presentation of large-scale mental health–focused projects.


Qualifications

  1. A Ph.D. degree from a domestic or international university in psychology, clinical psychology, counseling psychology, public health, medicine, social work, or related fields. Applicants must demonstrate strong interest and commitment to mental health, higher education, and policy advancement.

  2. Excellent written communication skills in both Chinese and English, with strong logical organization and the ability to translate complex information into clear and compelling narratives.

  3. Prior experience in participating in or leading national-level projects (e.g., NSTC, Ministry of Education, Ministry of Science and Technology, Ministry of Health and Welfare) or international collaborative projects is highly preferred.

  4. Familiarity with mental health promotion, campus counseling systems, resilience-building, digital mental health interventions, or SDG-related health and well-being issues is a plus.

  5. Candidates with strong strategic thinking, interdisciplinary communication, project management, and data analysis skills will be given priority.

  6. A responsible work attitude, strong team spirit, and a high level of enthusiasm and dedication are expected.


Salary and Benefits

  1. Salary will be determined in accordance with the NCKU Guidelines for the Recruitment of Outstanding Talent and relevant regulations.

  2. Year-end bonus equivalent to 1.5 months of salary (available to employees who remain in service in December; awarded on a prorated basis according to months of service).

  3. Labor and health insurance coverage will be provided.

  4. The appointment is on a one-year contract basis, renewable upon satisfactory performance. A three-month probationary period applies, and continued employment is subject to evaluation upon completion.

Additional Notes
