🌱Student Sustainable Guide

Students play a key role in promoting campus sustainability. Simple daily actions—such as carrying reusable items, reducing single-use products, joining sustainability clubs and activities, and conserving energy and water—can lead to meaningful change. When sustainability becomes a habit, the campus becomes the starting point for creating a sustainable future.

  • Participate in sustainability initiatives and enroll in related courses.

  • Join sustainability and community service clubs or activities.

  • Choose reusable items such as cups, utensils, and shopping bags.

  • Conserve electricity and water, and support campus energy-saving and carbon-reduction measures.

🌿 Staff Sustainable Guide

Faculty and staff are essential to building a sustainable campus. Through daily choices and adjustments in teaching and administrative practices, they can bring lasting impact. From integrating sustainability concepts into courses, adopting energy-saving measures in offices, to advancing policies in campus planning, every effort contributes to meaningful change. By starting small and leading by example, faculty and staff help shape a resilient and sustainable university.

  • Integrate SDG-related topics into course design.

  • Encourage green commuting such as walking, cycling, or carpooling.

  • Participate in campus sustainability discussions and governance.

  • Support and mentor students in sustainability initiatives.

🌏 Alumni Sustainable Guide

Alumni remain vital partners in advancing the University’s sustainability vision. Whether practicing sustainability principles in the workplace, supporting alma mater initiatives, or driving change in society, alumni extend the value of sustainability to broader communities. When sustainability moves beyond campus into daily life, work, and society, the University’s spirit of sustainability is truly realized and passed on.

  • Practice ESG or SDG concepts in professional settings.

  • Support alma mater’s sustainability initiatives, USR projects, or academic contributions.

  • Continue sustainable habits such as conservation and resource recycling.

  • Serve as change agents to carry NCKU’s values into wider communities and industries.
