Postdoctoral Researcher in Institutional Research and Data Analytics

Job Responsibilities

  1. Collect and analyze academic literature, policy documents, and institutional data relevant to project objectives, serving as a foundation for strategic planning and program development.

  2. Develop and optimize institutional data analytics models, and produce decision-support reports and data visualizations.

  3. Assist in the planning, implementation, and effectiveness evaluation of university development and sustainability strategy-related projects.

  4. Perform other duties as assigned related to institutional data analysis and strategic policy formulation.


Qualifications

  1. A Ph.D. degree from a domestic or international university. Fields of expertise include, but are not limited to: educational evaluation and policy, statistics, data science, management science, or related disciplines.

  2. Demonstrated skills in data cleaning, statistical analysis, and data visualization. Proficiency in R, Python, SPSS, Tableau, or other analytical tools is preferred.

  3. Ability to conduct independent research, manage projects, and write professional reports, with the capacity to translate analytical findings into actionable policy recommendations.

  4. Strong sense of responsibility, with excellent communication, coordination, and teamwork skills.

  5. Applicants with prior experience in higher education policy, institutional research (IR), or sustainability-related research are strongly encouraged to apply.


Salary and Benefits

  1. Salary will be determined in accordance with the NCKU Guidelines for the Recruitment of Outstanding Talent and relevant regulations.

  2. Year-end bonus equivalent to 1.5 months of salary (available to employees who remain in service in December; awarded on a prorated basis according to months of service).

  3. Labor and health insurance coverage will be provided.

  4. The appointment is on a one-year contract basis, renewable upon satisfactory performance. A three-month probationary period applies, and continued employment is subject to evaluation upon completion.

  2. Curriculum vitae (including academic background, expertise, research achievements, and other relevant qualifications).

  3. Research proposal: A brief project concept (no more than two pages) on institutional data analysis and its application, based on the applicant’s expertise.

  4. Proof of English proficiency (e.g., English test certificates or records of publication in English-language journals).

Additional Notes
